We are Kicking off Project SOS: Support Our Suppliers with David Luke. Based in Manchester, David Luke have been producing school uniform since 1982 and have established themselves as the pioneers of sustainability in the schoolwear industry. They were announced winners of the Sustainability in Schoolwear Award 2019 at the Schoolwear Association Awards, and have received certifications of their ethical and sustainable manufacturing by organisations such as SSG Global Services, Intertek Green Leaf, and the Ethical Trading Initiative.
Since the introduction of the Eco-Blazer, made from polyester produced from plastic bottles, in 2010, David Luke has saved over 27 million plastic bottles from landfill. They also founded “16 Under 16” in partnership with Kids Against Plastic and Eco-Schools. 16 Under 16 is a team of young people carrying out environmental change in their communities, using their collective voice to champion their passion for eco uniform.
